The Nasty Naturalist was born from a burning desire to share my love for nature while being a little sassy at the same time. As a former park ranger, I can’t help but geek out over everything that crawls, slithers, and creeps in nature. I create clothing, accessories and home goods that let us share our love for nature with the people who get the joke about good morels or love the play on words in the American Robin’s scientific name (what a turdus).

Over the years, my style as an artist has evolved to include just about every printing method under the sun. Sometimes I’m printing with a hand-carved stamp, other times I might be using cedar boughs or foraged ferns. From linocut printing to stamping directly with botanicals and transfer printing onto recycled wood and thrifted garments, it all comes back to nature.

Printing on an upcycled canvas, from thrift store treasures to reclaimed wood: the Nasty Naturalist is all about reusing and sustainability. By treading lightly, we can all help protect the natural spaces we love.

Share your natural style with the Nasty Naturalist!
