Derrick Salmela served on active duty between 2005-2009. After leaving the service in, Derrick earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the American Military University. Derrick and his wife, also a Marine, moved to Montana in 2013 and settled in Kalispell, MT in 2017. Following the completion of graduate studies, Derrick served as a Security Manager within the Department of Homeland security, leaving in 2022 to focus solely on DJS Woodcraft.
