I find bare trees fascinating. Each twig, branch and cluster of pine needles are unique and naturally beautiful. The Flathead forests share an abundance of choices to create from these treasures. "Flathead Timber Insights" combines the forest creations with the desire and curiosity to use what is natural and available to all Montanans.

Fallen logs become "candle logs" and limbs are used for blanket ladders. No twig is alike and shows off in a garland with beads and copper stars. "Fascicle" describes clusters of scotch pine needles held together with copper wire and a patina star. Branches are cut and carved into rustic pencils.

In the warmer months, 16 inch square stepping stones are designed. The stones tolerate the Montana winter months with a layer of fiber being included in the stone.

I am a 4th generation Montanan and have lived in the Flathead Valley for twelve years. My family has shared their talents with craft projects. This is my first introduction as a vendor. I hope to represent Montana and ACF well.
