Meet the 2024 Board Members

President - Lindsay Mena

Lindsay joined ACF and the board in 2017 and served as Recording Secretary through 2018. She was nominated as President starting in 2019. She served as President through 2022, taking a break in 2023. During her tenure, Lindsay played a key role in restructuring ACF into a 501(c)(3) non-profit, expanding its membership, and establishing the "Create It Forward" Scholarship fund. Lindsay holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Montana Tech and a master's degree in Occupational Safety and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University.

Vice Pres. - Christie Williams

Christie served as Outreach Committee Chairperson for 2023. Christie’s handmade business is called Montana Mountain Mama 406. She does custom work from Vinyl, Heat Transfer Vinyl, Ink Sublimation, screen prints to Direct to Film, as well as knits. Creating decals, stickers, mugs, tumblers, T-shirts, hoodies hats, scarfs and so much more. Christie joined ACF in 2021.

Treasurer - Sharon Askelson

Sharon has been a member of ACF since 1994 and held the role of Treasurer almost as long. Sharon makes holiday wreaths and decorative Christmas sleighs using artificial flowers and other decor. Sharon is also an active volunteer at the Flathead County Fairgrounds and is involved with the Dahlia Society.

Rec. Secretary - Shannon Longfield

Shannon’s art focuses on handspun yarns predominantly spun from her own small flock of merino sheep, llamas and angora rabbits, hand dyed yarns in colors that showcase Montana’s colors and scenery and woven or knitted items. Shannon has been a member since 2023.

Mem. Secretary - Marcie Irwin

Marcie has been a member of ACF since 2022. She is the owner of Crafty Queen. She and her husband Bryan create items out of reclaimed lumber and other materials. Her spare time is spent loving on her 3 dachshunds.

Social Media Admin - Gayle Emberstone

Gayle joined ACF in 2022 and has been one of the social media admins ever since. Her business is Zayz Sweetz and she creates freeze dried candy - delish! She also crochets small animal stuffies such as owls and jelly fish.

Publicity Admin - Jenny Reed

Jenny is the owner of Deerelassy Creations and makes many handmade items including cards and coasters. Jenny has been born and raised in the flathead and loves sharing time with family and friends. She is a pinterest junkie and loves to try new projects she learns. Jenny joined ACF in 2021.

Show Committee - Pam Bondesen

She is also the owner of Lillie Lane Montana where she specializes in custom minky fabric and epoxy creations. Pam earned her bachelor's degree in Social Science from Long Beach State University in California. She stared her career with the county of San Bernardino as a Social Service Supervisor. After 30 years of hard work, she retired in 2015 and reloacted to Montana to be closer to family.

Show Committee - Ashley Bishop

Ashley is a licensed Realtor as of Jan 2024 - congrats! She is also the artisan behind Bigfork Gourmet Popcorn, a one-of-a-kind brand that blends her artistic vision with the delicious world of popcorn. Ashley also served as ACF President for 2023.

Show Committeee - Sheryl Soderstrom

Sheryl is a retired educator (after 22 years as teacher, principal) who grew up in Kalispell. She has a Bachelor of Thanatology (the study of Death and Dying), a Master of Health Education, and a second Master in Education – Administration and Supervision. She has been a member of ACF since 2019 and has served as Recording Secretary and Show Committee previously.

Show Committee - John Holler

John was born and raised in Kalispell Montana. He is a 100% Disabled Veteran who was challenged to do soap and became addicted to the hobby.

His business is "Wild Montana Soap Work's".

Show Committee - Beth Anderson

Beth has been a member of ACF since 2017. She creates felt flowers, decorative wreaths, greeting cards and other home decor items.
