Hi, my name is Georgia Melton , I am a acrylic wildlife painter. Art has been a part of my life since childhood. I was born and raised in Montana and grew up on a working cattle ranch in Glacier County. I have been around animals wild and domestic all of my life so they are my favorite subjects to paint. Inspiration for my paintings comes from memories and getting out into the mountains with my camera. At Christmas time I paint ornaments and have done commission work of horses on them. Some of the surfaces I paint on are canvas, wood ,feathers ,rocks and old saws. For many years I worked in bronze foundries doing wax chasing and patinas. Hobbies I enjoy are riding horses, fishing and camping.
